Cu ocazia Centenarului Marii Uniri, Asociaţia Femeilor din Teatru IF…/…DACĂ PENTRU FEMEI, în parteneriat cu UNITER,Muzeul Naţional al Literaturii Române, Arhivele Naţionale ale Statului,Asociaţia România Culturală şi Mânastirea "Schimbarea la Faţă”din Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, USA, a creat un spectacol care să omagieze memoria celei care a fost Principesa Ileana a României, Arhiducesa de Austria, un destin care s-a desfăşurat între palat şi mânăstire, pe fundalul celor două războaie mondiale, într-o perioadă de mari frământari din istoria Europei. Spectacolul Ileana, Principesă de Româniaaduce la lumină o parte esenţială din istoria României.
Spectacolul despre viaţa principesei Ileana este o evocare plinăde farmec şidramatism a principalelor momente din viata autoarei şi a istoriei trăite.
,,Da, să trăiesc din nou, pentru că după ce am plecat de acasă, care pentru mine a fost întotdeauna România, am fost ca şi moartă. Nu împrejurările au fost greu de suportat, ci însăşi nevoia de a trăi. Nu m-am îndoit nici o clipă de necesitatea fizică a prezenţei mele pentru cei şase copii ai mei…Dar in interior, „eul” care există independent de mama, soţia, prietena care eram – „eul” esenţial, pe care tot restul era construit – a suferit un şoc mortal când am fost îndepărtată de poporul meu.”(Principesa Ileana).
Privit prin prisma celor 100 de ani de la naşterea sa, destinul Principesei Ileana se distinge ca fiind emblematic pentru cursul istoriei contemporane. El stă sub zodia refugiului, începând cu frageda copilărie, ce i-a fost marcată de refugiului la Iaşi, în timpul Primului Război Mondial, apoi refugiată într-un exil impus de fratele ei Carol II, care nu i-a permis să se reîntoarcă în România, nici măcar pentru a-şi îngriji mama, nu ca fiică iubitoare, ci ca infirmieră de meserie. Urmează refugiul impus de nou instauratul regim prosovietic, şi deci anti-german, ceea ce o afectează fiind căsătorită cu Arhiducele Anton de Habsburg, considerat inamic. Odată cu abdicarea Regelui Mihai, urmează refugiul impus tuturor membrilor Casei Regale, mai apoi, neacordarea azilului în Elveţia, Argentina, deloc prietenoasă sub Peron şi în final Statele Unite ale Americii, care o primesc. Iar la 52 de ani, autorefugiul său la mânăstire, pe calea deschisă ei de Domnul, cum singură mărturiseşte: ,,Aceasta este unica şi singura cale deschisă pentru mine…răspunsul la orice fel de îndoiala stă în chiar cuvintele Domnului Nostru Isus Christos:,,Ce-i aceasta pentru tine? Urmează-mă!” Aşa voi face! Aşa să mă ajute Dumnezeu! Facă-se voia Ta!”
Dar tot acest parcurs a fost unul exemplar, a fost traiectoria unei luptătoarea, Principesa Ileana s-a luptat pentru alţii, a fost în slujba poporului ei, în slujba celor in nevoie… A realizat spitale, cantine, scoli de infirmiere, tot felul de modalităţi de a strânge fonduri pentru răniţi, orfani, bolnavi, săraci, cei mai putin norocoşi decat ea, care era fiica unui Rege important, Ferdinand Integratorul şi a unei Regine de excepţie, Regina Maria a României.
Viaţa Principesei Ileana, devenită Maica Alexandra, o impune ca model demn de urmat şi o legitimează în faţa posterităţii.

To celebrate The Centenary of the Great Union, The Association of Women in Theater IF ... / ... IF WOMEN in partnership with UNITER, National Museum of Romanian Literature, National Archives of the State Association of Romania Cultural and The Orthodox Monastery "Transfiguration" in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, USA, created a show that commemorates the memory of what was Princess Ileana of Romania, Archduchess of Austria, a destiny that took place between palace and monastery on the background of two World Wars, a period of great turmoil in European history. The show Ileana, Princess of Romania brings to light an essential part of Romanian history. The show about the life of Princess Ileana is a glamorous and dramatic evocation of the key moments in the life of the author and history she had lived. ,, Yes, to live again, because after I left home, which for me has always been Romania, I was as good as dead. Circumstances were not unbearable, but the very need to live. I did not doubt for a moment of physical necessity of my presence for the six children of mine ... But inside, the "essential ego" that exists independently of the mother, wife, girlfriend I was - "I" the essential key, on which all the rest is built - suffered a fatal shock when I was removed from my people. "(Princess Ileana).
Viewed in terms of the 100th anniversary of her birth, the destiny of Princess Ileana stands out as emblematic of the contemporary history. The destiny stands under the sign of refuge, starting in early childhood, which was marked by refuge in Iasi, during the First World War, then a refugee in exile imposed by her brother Carol II who didn’t allow her to return to Romania or even to take care of her mother, not as the daughter loving, but as a nurse by profession. Following is the refuge imposed by the new pro-Soviet regime, and thus anti-German, which affects her by being married to Archduke Anton of Habsburg, considered the enemy. Follow me! "So I will! So help me God! Your will be done! "But throughout this journey was an exemplary one, it was the trajectory of a fighter. Princess Ileana fought for others, was serving her people, to serve those in need ... She created hospitals, canteens, schools nurses, all sorts of ways to raise funds for injured, orphaned, sick, poor, less fortunate than her, the daughter of an important king, Ferdinand The Integrator and an Exceptional Queen, Queen Marie of Romania.
Life of Princess Ileana, who became Mother Alexandra is a role model and legitimizes her in front of posterity.
